…so that they may take hold of the life that is truly life. Festus H passed away July 30th, 2026. He had a large mass in his abdomen that Dr. Christie concluded was cancerous. On his last day, he had a big dish of ice cream and 10 Hershey kisses; he never lost his appetite for sweets. Festus always tried to bring joy (unless there was a thermometer involved) to everyone he met. He always strived to be a leader. He worked hard, he played hard and he lived life to the very fullest. He would want us to follow his example. Festus would not want us to mourn, because he's been set free. He's now free to live his very best life. Festus was proceeded in death by his Gramma and an aunt. He is survived by his Daddy and Mama, 2 brothers, several aunts and uncles, his family at Alpine Animal Clinic and many, many friends on this page. He also has family in Germany and friends in France. Our heartfelt thanks to Dr. Hogue and Tyler for setting him free, and to everyone at Alpine Animal Clinic for all the love, friendship, dedication and help they've given him and our family over the years. For this, we are very thankful and it will never be forgotten.
