I called her Lana Bear. She turned 12 last September. She came into my life at a very low point. I had lost my husband of 36 years. Lana was my niece’s and they came to live with me. Unfortunately, my niece lost her battle with alcohol and drugs so Lana became mine. I think she needed me as much as I needed her. All this was in 2018 and she’s been by my side every day since. We have moved many times and she was always there, never complaining. She was my heart, my best friend, my sidekick, slept with me every night. She passed away in our home with me by her side. It all happened so fast because she hadn’t been sick. I love and miss her so much and I always will. My heart is broken but she’s up there running around and playing! Run free my baby girl, momma loves you!
