Dentist Office Hires A Sweet Dog To Calm Their Patients & Help Them Relax

For kids, and even for some adults, going to the dentist is kinda scary. Especially when you hear that drilling sound, it kinda gives you some chills. So this dentist office at Northbrook, Illinois, hired a very special employee to calm patients and help them relax.

Her name is JoJo and she’s the newest staff member at the Pediatric Dentistry of Northbrook. JoJo is a gorgeous golden Retriever and she is very good at doing her job!

Happy to have JoJo as part of our team!

JoJo is a trained comfort dog. And since the patients at this dentist office are kids, JoJo befriends them and help them feel at ease.

Even on a cold day, JoJo comes in to the rescue

Clinic staffer Veronica Renteria told The Dodo, “A lot of the time, those patients would need nitrous oxide or other sedative to help them relax. But when JoJo comes in with them and sits in the chair, they’re comforted. They can just sit and pet her as they’re getting their teeth cleaned. She’s does a great job with them.

And just like a good friend, JoJo is there to hold the patient’s hands for comfort…

JoJo is there to help the patients relax, thus avoiding them from making unnecessary movements. With that the dentists can do their jobs better and the operations go smoothly.

Everybody at the office just loves her! And she’s loving all the attention she’s getting!

For more cute photos of JoJo, visit the Pediatric Dentistry of Northbrook’s Facebook Page.
