Skinny Outside Dog Finally Lives Happy Life Indoors

Part of each sale through the iHeartDogs store is donated to Greater Good, which helps support various charities. Thanks to customers like you, happy endings, like the one below, are made possible.

Foxy came to All Species Kinship’s (ASK) through their direct-outreach service for outside dogs. Foxy struggled to maintain adequate body weight, due both to her guardian’s financial status and lacking understanding of how much one should feed a dog.

The ASK team started their engagement by providing her with intermittent food support and straw, along with guardian-engagement on a positive transition to a house dog. Thanks to GreaterGood.org’s Rescue Bank, she didn’t have to struggle any longer to get adequate meals; however, it became apparent that her energy level exceeded that of the households, and she was surrendered to ASK. Foxy was adopted by a new family whose activity level was a better match for her, and she now lives inside as a beloved companion.

“GreaterGood.org’s Rescue Bank program has made it so the most underserved in our community can continue to feed their companions during the most desperate times. This translates to dogs not suffering two-fold from low bodyweight while living outside especially.”
