Best Foods for a Picky Rottweiler
I’ve had Rottweilers for over 30 years. They all have had sensitive stomach issues. I switched a couple of years ago to FARMINA, and my dogs eat well with no digestive upset. Good luck!

If you can’t find one, and you’re tired of switching, find a good brand of food and stick with it. If you feed on a schedule, put the food down in the morning, and if he doesn’t touch it for 10 minutes, take it away and try again at dinner, and do the same thing. Your dog will not starve itself unless it’s sick. Your dog is training you to add stuff to his food/ change it because he knows you’ll do it. Unless your dog has a health reason to be on a special food, pick one and stick to it. If you must add, put some water in there and mix it up

Have you tried mixing the dry with bone broth? How about adding sweet potatoes (mashed) to his wet food or diced green beans, broccoli? Hope your baby likes some of these.

Farmers dog. It ends up being just as expensive as all the other “trial brands”, great food, it cuts down our vet expenses, the dogs are so much healthier, and all three different breeds love it!!! Give it a try!!

My girl will only eat fresh pet… It’s $16 for a tube and lasts about 5-6 days. I sprinkle some kibble in for crunch and to help keep her teeth clean. She loves the chicken the most

We tried Hill’s Science Diet or Iams Lamb & Rice. HE LOVED IT! (for both brands). Within 2 days, my 5-year-old Rottie was playing and running like a puppy!

Our boy gets Bullymax Chicken 30/20, and we add baked chicken or ground beef, and we add a variety of vegetables. Green beans, carrots, red bell pepper, peas, broccoli, brussels sprouts, and sweet potatoes. About 1 1/2 cups of kibble and 1 1/2 cups of meat and veggies twice a day. His weight is perfect, and he has no skin or allergy issues.

We had to switch to the 4health salmon and potato for my other dog from Tractor Supply, and my rottie loves it! We tried to keep them separate in the beginning, but he kept going after it, so we just switched them both to it, and he’s done great

Mine doesn’t like his food changed in mid-course. Half Purina Pro Plan and half cooked with chicken, brown rice, chicken liver, flax meal, carrots, peas, green beans. Loves it. Twice a day, split up. Always the same time of day.

Blue Buffalo mixed in with some turkey gravy. If they’re still around, I’ve always liked the Black & Gold brand. Haven’t seen them in a bit. The grocery store I would find it at stopped carrying it.

No cooking for him, the best way to go is to boil chicken breast with Sweet Potatoes, boiled and mashed up with Veggies. You can cook up Angus Grass Fed Beef, Potatoes, and Veggies. You can do Salmon, Veggies, and Rice. There are some good cooked diets out there, Farmer’s Dog and Just Food for Dogs

Depending on size, dry food mixed with minimal canned food (dog beef stew) and one slice of Fresh Pet diced. Our Sienna was also very picky. I tried this, and magic happened. I use two rolls of Fresh Pet every month at a cost of $38.00 total. It just might work.
