If you own a Pit Bull, then you know your life is full. They bring comical antics and huge personality into our lives, not to mention lots of love. Because they give us so much, we often want to give them something in return, something more than just the great daily care we already provide. #1 – You!
Pit Bulls are known for loving their family through and through. Just spending time with your Pittie shows him how much you care and definitely makes him happier. And you don’t have to do anything special. Just snuggling on the couch while you binge watch your favorite TV show works for him.
#2 – Eating
There is no doubt Pitties love to eat! They seem to be forever hungry and will eat almost anything. Giving them a special treat now and then is sure to make your Pit Bull very happy. Just make sure they don’t become overweight from all your love.
#3 – Tug
You may remember the old belief that you should not play tug with your dog. This is not true and Pit Bulls LOVE it! As long as you and dog know the right rules (for example, do not let your dog get overly excited and make sure you end the game by asking for a “Give” or “Drop” so you’re in control of the toy), tug is a great way to foster a bond with your dog. Almost every person who competes with their dogs in agility plays tug, and this includes people with Pitties.
