73-Year-Old Saves His Dog By Punching A Bear In The Face

| May 2, 2015

When his Chihuahua Lacy started whimpering outside his home near Sacramento, California, Carl Moore ran outside to see why. He sees Lacey as his daughter, and will protect her against anything– even a bear.

And that’s exactly what he saw when he stepped outside last week. Right in front of his house, where Lacy was.

“I ain’t run from nothing; I never have in my whole life and I ain’t going to start now,” Moore told his local news station, CBS Sacramento. “And you’re not going to sacrifice my babies for some damn bear.”

So what does the ex-first recon Marine do?

“I raised both hands in the air and I cussed at it,” Moore says. “ARRRRR…get out of here, you…”

And then he did something that most of us would never ever dream of – he lands a “whirling haymaker” right in the Bear’s face.

“The man or beast that I run from ain’t been born, and his momma’s already dead,” Moore adds.

The bear was apparently a bit shorter than Moore, but, it’s still a bear. And this type of reaction is certainly not one that the is recommend by anyone working with Fish & Wildlife. Sound off: Would you hit a bear in the face if your dog was in danger?
