To date, the Rescue Bank has delivered over 275 million meals to shelters and rescues across the country. And with your help, we can make that number grow by funding more of these much-needed donations to shelters and rescues. Twin Cities Pet Rescue in St. Paul, Minnesota, is one of the many rescues that depends on The Rescue Bank to feed hungry dogs like Squid the Texas Street Dog.

Stray Puppy to Family Dog thanks to Good Eats

Squid is a Minnesota hound now, but his story begins on the Texas streets, where he was living the stray life. When found, he was taken into a local animal control, but this sweet little dog needed medical attention and some time in foster care before he could find his forever home. So, Squid packed up his Texas life and hit the road for Minnesota and the Twin Cities Pet Rescue.

When Squid arrived, TCPR took him straight to the vet for diagnostics and he was soon on a treatment regiment for a skin infection.

As the rescue explained, “Squid’s foster with TCPR is a vet tech, so he received the finest care and made a full turnaround.”

While hanging out with his foster family, Squid decided he needed a Facebook page. They agreed and helped him create one of the cutest dog profiles ever. Follow him at Squid the Texas Street Dog to see more of his puppish grin!

Now, Squid is running his Facebook page from his forever home and he’s the happiest rescue dog ever!

But Squid might never have found his chance at forever without the all-important food donations from the Rescue Bank, Twin Cities Pet Rescue explaining, “Rescue Bank helps us offset the costs of food and supplies, helping us allocate more funding to medical cases like Squid.”
