Dog lovers on the internet are demanding that a dog trainer named Manuel Golden be arrested. He supposedly owns a facility in Acrola, Texas, called TyCalK9. Golden is known as a “celebrity dog trainer” who has trained the dogs of sports stars and TV personalities.
In surveillance footage, he’s seen lifting a German Shepherd puppy in the air and slamming him onto the ground when he doesn’t behave. The incident caused the dog’s leg to shatter, but Golden hasn’t been punished. He still seems to be training dogs despite everything. But dog lovers will keep fighting.
Dog Abuse Exposed
An anonymous source shared the video footage with news reporters. In the video, the man appears to be teaching the puppy to stop chewing on the object he’s holding. He yells a command at the dog, but the pup doesn’t respond. So, the man lifts the puppy over his shoulder and slams him onto the ground in one bone-chilling motion.
After hitting the floor, the puppy is unable to use his back legs. He whines in pain, but the man does nothing to help him. The dog in the video allegedly belongs to Golden, but he has since re-homed him.
One of the puppy’s legs was completely shattered after the incident, so he had to go to the vet to get it reconstructed. The poor puppy will have a lot of rehabilitating to do. He deserves justice!
Suspect Shows No Sympathy
So far, the dog trainer hasn’t received any punishments for his actions. He has taken down the facility’s website and social media accounts, making it seem like it closed for good. But when a news reporter visited the training business, there were still dogs there. No one let the reporter in, but a woman poked her head out to tell them to go away and stop bothering the dogs.
Police are investigating the situation, but no updates have been shared yet. It seems like Golden will continue to train dogs wherever he’s able to.
“We cannot share the details as the investigation is ongoing, but we take these matters seriously and do not condone the mistreatment of animals in any regard. A thorough investigation by experienced animal cruelty investigators and prosecutors is underway,” said the Fort Bend County District Attorney’s office.
Professional dog trainers remind pet parents to be careful of who to trust. It’s a good idea to meet your dog trainer beforehand and not be afraid to ask them detailed questions, such as how they plan to reward and discipline your dog. There are many good dog trainers out there, but heartless people like Golden make things harder for them.
