Dr. Andy Mathis is a veterinarian at the Granite Hills Animal Care in Elberton, Georgia. When he was about to leave for the night, a dog was taken in the hospital after being found abandoned. The dog was starving, and a kind woman called Dr. Mathis, who then told her to bring the dog in.
The dog, a gray Pit Bull now named Graycie was emaciated, and she had a lot of health issues. She was anemic, hypothermic, and she was suffering from a severe vaginal prolapse.

So to comfort her, Dr. Mathis got inside her cage. He wanted to calm her down and show her that everything is gonna be okay.

Little by little, Graycie is starting to trust Dr. Mathis.
A big thank you to Dr. Mathis for his compassion to animals. We hope Graycie will get better soon, and we hope that she finds a loving forever home.
