Abused, Emaciated Dog’s Recovery Was Made Possible By You!

| Published on March 28, 2019

Part of each sale through the iHeartDogs store is donated to Greater Good, which helps support various charities. Thanks to customers like you, happy endings, like the one below, are made possible.

This is Frankie. She came to Hearts of Hope Rescue severely emaciated. While they don’t know exactly what happened to Frankie before she arrived at the rescue, they do know that abuse took place. Her ears had been cropped, she had missing teeth, and many old scars as well as multiple wounds likely from being kept in a contained space for long periods.

Frankie needed to eat two cups of Rescue Bank donated pet food three times a day to help her gain the weight required to become the happy, healthy girl she is today! Frankie has met her weight goals and is now a stable and robust 55 pounds! She has gained confidence and is super loving and playful. She recently was adopted into her loving forever home!

“The cost of food can get extremely high for rescues, especially dogs like Frankie who needed so much food to gain the weight she needed. The wonderful food donations from GreaterGood.org’s Rescue Bank has allowed us to help more dogs by shifting our feeding budget to vet care!”
