Amazon Employee Helps Customer Whose Puppy Was Stolen By Delivery Driver

| May 9, 2018

When Richard Guttfield of Marsworth, England ordered food for his puppy on Amazon, he didn’t anticipate that the delivery would lead to the theft of Wilma, his beloved pooch.

Guttfield returned home to find the package on his porch instead of in the safe box at the end of his driveway. It wasn’t long before he realized that his 11-month-old Miniature Schnauzer was nowhere to be found, and the dog dad immediately suspected the package deliverer.

After posting pleas on social media, Guttfield emailed Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos in a desperate attempt to reunite with his dog. An Amazon employee named Rob received the message on behalf of Bezos, and although the delivery man didn’t work directly for Amazon, he went above and beyond for Guttfield and Wilma.

Watch the amazing story below:

Rob took it upon himself to track down the delivery man and investigate for himself! Now that‘s what good customer service is all about!

If Amazon hands out “outstanding employee” awards, we nominate Rob!
