In a bewildering turn of events, a family made the heart-wrenching decision to move out of their apartment a decade ago, but unfathomably, they left behind a crucial member of their household – their dog, Bokshil. This loyal canine, with an unwavering spirit, remained at the now-empty apartment, holding onto the hope that her family would return for her. Days turned into weeks, weeks into months, and months into years, yet Bokshil stayed steadfast in her vigil. Despite the passing of 10 long years, her eyes continued to watch and wait, filled with the hope that her beloved family would come back to her, but tragically, they never did.

Some kind neighbors helped to look after Bokshil over the past 10 years by feeding her and providing her with a doghouse. She spends her days walking after passersby hoping they’re her family but never strays too far from her spot.

Bokshil has been losing her sight over the years, and her health is in a slow decline. The dog’s vet feels it would do more harm than good at this point to take her away from her comfort zone. So here she sits, doing what makes her happy.
