BREAKING NEWS RECALL ALERT – Kurgo Recalls Skybox Bike Basket Pet Carriers Due To Safety Hazard

Kurgo, a well-known manufacturer of pet containment, safety and travel products, is recalling more than 6,000 Skybox Bike Basket Pet Carriers.

The voluntary recall comes after customers complained that the plastic clamps have been breaking.

There have been no serious injuries reported, however the company says, “in an abundance of caution” they are recalling the Skybox Bike Basket.

Product Affected

This recall involves plastic clamps on the Kurgo Skybox Bike Basket sold at Petco, Pet Valu and other pet product retailers nationwide and online from September 2013 through August 2015.

If You Have a Skybox Basket

The company says you should immediately stop using the basket and follow these steps to return it to Kurgo and receive a $75 gift certificate for Kurgo.com:

  1. Fill out this form with your information
  2. Once received, we will send you a prepaid shipping label via email so you can send the bike basket back to us
  3. Once we receive the bike basket, we will issue you a $75 Kurgo.com gift certificate via email
