Drive-Thru Dog Video Delights Some And Outrages Others

If you’ve ever sat in line at a drive-thru, especially for your morning cup of coffee, you know how the wait can be excruciating. It’s frustrating to be so close yet so far away.

Well, a video of one super excited drive-thru dog, who simply couldn’t wait a single extra second for their special Starbucks treat, is creating quite the controversy across the internet.

You see, one of Starbucks’ secret menu items is what is known as a “puppuccino.” Essentially, it’s an espresso cup that they fill with fluffy whipped cream. This sweet treat is quite popular among their canine clientele and is eagerly anticipated as they wait in line.

But, the wait was simply too much to bear for a beautiful black dog named “Boo Boo” who decided to take matters into their own paws. It’s important to note that while pups are welcomed with complimentary whipped cream in the drive-thru line, that “pets” aren’t actually permitted to enter Starbucks stores.

The original video, which is the only post on this specific social media user’s page, has already amassed more than eight million views in only a few days. The short clip is shot from the vantage point of the driver waiting in line behind them.

When it starts, you can see that Boo Boo is already excitedly hanging out the window with his paws on the delivery counter. Delighted, surprised, and startled screams can be heard in the background as Boo Boo sniffs and slowly pulls himself towards the delivery window.

After that, an audible “Ut-Oh” can be heard from whoever is filming, as Boo Boo does what so many of us have contemplated doing while stuck in a drive-thru line. He slowly and deliberately pulls his entire body out of the driver’s side window and onto the drive-thru counter. Before long, he finds himself inside Starbucks, safely in the arms of an employee.

Bold Boo Boo knew exactly what he wanted and went for it!

The video of what appears to be a completely unexpected turn of events has become an amusing joke to some and a source of outrage for others. Within the comments section, a debate has arisen, and replies are split between viewing the video as adorable and hilarious or anger-inducing.

Critical commenters speculate about hairs in drinks, health code violations, and the pup potentially being injured. But amused onlookers spread their delight and make silly quips such as “That dog is just trying to reach you about your car’s extended warranty” and “That dog belongs to Starbucks now.”

What we want to know is how this video makes you feel? Does it make you laugh, shrug, or scream with anger? Check out the full clip below and let us know in the comments if you find it funny or completely inappropriate.
