Family Desperately Searches For Dog Who They Fear Was Stolen For Fighting

| Published on November 13, 2017

Paul and Lorraine Moores, who live in the town of Marple in England, cannot wake up from a nightmare: almost two weeks ago, their gorgeous blue Staffordshire Terrier disappeared from their backyard.

“When I came back to let her in I thought it was unusual as I can normally hear her grunting and when I found she was gone there was panic,” Mr. Moores described in a story by Manchester Evening News.

After noticing that some of the panels in their fence were damaged, they surmised that their pup, named Lottie, was likely stolen. That’s when they began to fear the worst.

“She is a very attractive dog and could have been taken for breeding as whoever took her may not have known she’s been spayed, or more sinisterly stolen for fighting,” Mr. Moores said in the story. “Lottie is very friendly and would go to anyone, she is a bit of a showgirl and loves attention.”

As the days pass, the family is falling deeper into despair, trying everything in their power to get their precious girl back.

According to the story, they have handed out hundreds of leaflets around their town, are offering a £1000 reward, and have taken to social media for help.

A heart-wrenching post written by the Moores’ son Jonathan has even been shared over 90,000 times on Facebook. Still, they have yet to receive any answers, and wonder if Lottie has been taken out of the area by the thief.

“We are devastated, it is like a member of the family has been taken,” Mr. Moores said.

He continued, “Lottie is valuable, both in monetary terms and emotionally. We just hope someone, somewhere has their conscience pricked….But the more time goes by you start to fear that you are never going to see her again and you have to try and remain positive.”

The Moores family has set up a Facebook group called FIND LOTTIE (LULU) so people can easily post leads, as well as spread awareness.

We sincerely hopes that this grieving family gets their beloved companion back. If you want to help, please SHARE this story – the more people see it, the better chance there is of reuniting Lottie with her family!
