Most dogs would gobble up their human’s fast food in a heartbeat. But Ellie the Golden Retriever knows better. She’d much rather help her human than steal his food. So, she has been delivering food to him during the coronavirus pandemic.
Nick, Ellie’s dad, just has to wait in the curbside pickup area. Then, Ellie rushes to go grab the food as he waits. For some reason, she adores this simple task, and she gets excited whenever they near her favorite restaurant: Chick-Fil-A.
A Chick-Fil-A in Chapel Hill, North Carolina recently posted a video of Ellie’s adorable routine. The business implies that she comes there often. They even commented saying how they love Ellie and that she never gets tired of delivering food to her human. Many followers agreed that it’s the cutest video they’d seen all day.
“It’s Ellie’s favorite thing to do,” said Nick.
The Best Delivery Service
A 20-second video shows Ellie bounding toward Chick-Fil-A. Nick can be seen standing in the curbside pickup spot, waiting for his order. An employee hands Ellie the bag of food, which she politely takes by the handle.
Then, she turns around and prances back to Nick. He praises her as she delivers his food successfully. As she gets closer to him, her tail wags like crazy. She can tell that Chick-Fil-A makes him happy, so that makes her happy.
“Using our mobile app for curbside delivery has never been more fun or easy. Just ask Ellie. She loves running to meet the Team Member delivering her food and carrying it back to her owner, Nick, who waits in their curbside space,” Chick-Fil-A at Carraway Village wrote in the caption.
Everyone who commented on this video agreed that they wanted to see more of Ellie. They begged the business to make an Instagram account for her. While Ellie might act like a full-time employee, she only delivers food for her human. Although she could run the perfect delivery service if she truly wanted.
Others mentioned how their dogs would eat the food themselves before giving it to their humans. So, Ellie must have some excellent control in order to smell the delicious chicken and not eat it. Hopefully, she gets plenty of snacks as rewards for her hard work. Every Chick-Fil-A should have an adorable dog to deliver their food, especially during a time when humans need to keep their distance.
