iHeartDogs Shelter Drop! New Leash On Life in Lebanon, Tennessee

We recently sent a team out to the amazing New Leash On Life pet shelter and clinic in Lebanon, Tennessee with boxes of donations that YOU, our supporters provided through your iHeartDogs.com (and iHeartCats.com!) purchases. Just to clarify, in case you’re new here (welcome!) – every item you purchase from iHeartDogs.com provides a donation.

New Leash On Life is a valuable resource to their community and an amazing example for shelters all over. The facility is the only one in the area that takes in and provides services to cats. They took in 354 dogs and 373 cats in 2018 and spayed/neutered over 3,500 cats and dogs, including over 600 feral cats, in 2018 as well! New Leash On Life provides low cost spay/neuter services and a pet food pantry. One of their goals is to “end euthanasia as a means of controlling pet overpopulation,” which we applaud.

While at the shelter, we got a tour from Executive Director Angela Chapman and met a bunch of amazing pups and kitties. One pup was 7 year old Lincoln – since adopted! iHeartDogs co-founder Marshall spent some time with sweet, sleepy Lincoln and snuggled him up in one of our cozy PACK&DEN fleece blankets.

iHeartDogs team member Justine got to hang out with cuddly Nola the puppy (also since adopted), who gleefully snacked on some yummy treats from Marshall!

We’d like to extend a big THANK YOU to Angela Chapman, the New Leash On Life staff, and all their amazing volunteers for the services they provide and for letting us stop by, play with the dogs and cats in their care, and deliver some donations our amazing customers provided.

Reminder: Every product you purchase from iHeartDogs.com donates to shelters and rescues in need! Here are some of our top give-back products:
