A kind woman named Emma walked past a litter of dogs. She noticed that one pup was shunned by his siblings. He was much smaller than the rest and struggled to nurse. Emma’s heart broke and she knew she had to help. The pup was under a month old. She took him home and named him Koda. Despite his size and unlucky start, he was a loving little guy. She bottle-fed him around the clock, hoping he would gain weight. Koda did amazing! Soon, he was pudgy and happy.
But as time went on, Emma realized that Koda wasn’t an ordinary puppy. He showed more independence and exhibited heightened intelligence. He was also growing at an alarming rate. Emma was concerned and brought Koda to the local vet clinic. The staff was in awe. The veterinarian had a hunch as to why Koda was so different. He ordered a full workup and genetic testing.
The results came in and Emma was floored! Koda was, in fact, a wolf hybrid. Animals like Koda can be wild and sometimes dangerous. Koda’s personality adapted, however, and he was calm and affectionate. The vet told Emma that he would continue to make an excellent companion.
As Koda grew into his full size, Emma was a bit overwhelmed. He couldn’t even fit into the backseat of her car! Koda’s mom didn’t mind though. She was happy to accommodate her massive pup who had wormed his way into her heart. Their love remains strong and Koda is still gentle and loving.
