A tiny, defenseless puppy sat in the middle of the street and sobbed. She had been so badly wounded that she was unable to walk. A dog, even a youngster like this one, would usually drag their legs or limp away. But she couldn’t budge!

Her mom waited and waited but her baby wouldn’t come to her. Her mom cried too. The mother’s pleas are heartbreaking. It’s as if she’s saying, “Please, someone help my baby!”

The little dog cries were finally heard and the rescuers who would change her life, and mom’s life, came running. They pledged, as they took the baby into their hands, that they would take her pain away. It’s a promise they would not break!

When the puppy was brought to the sanctuary, she was given an injection of pain medication. Before that, though, the puppy let out her final cries. The little dog was soothed by the rescuers with soothing words.

She was taken to the hospital, where her medical team discovered she didn’t have any fractures in her legs but that her hip was severely sprained. This was the reason for all of her discomfort. Poor little one! However, she had no doubt that she was in excellent hands.

In only two days, the adorable puppy was able to walk for the first time. She favored one leg and compared to being disabled, she’s doing quite well! They gave her a fitting name, Cuddles. Because she enjoys snuggling with everyone she encounters!

You won’t believe how far this puppy has come! Take a look at Cuddles now! She can not only walk, but she can also run like the wind now, in addition to fetching that ball!
