Are you tired of seeing dog food and treat companies make the news for yet another recall? One week it’s salmonella contamination, the next week it’s listeria. And you’re left asking the question: “Are my dog’s treats safe?”
Trust me, I know the feeling. Over the past few decades, I’ve watched a couple of my close family members’ dogs suffer from health issues as a direct result of commercial snacks. One time it was an intestinal blockage, another instance resulted in long-term kidney issues.
I knew it was time to take matters into my own hands. As a former news reporter, I redirected my curious nature to dog nutrition and began baking for my furry family members. The result? A pack of happy and healthy pups!
I’ve been sharing my DIY dog treat recipes with you for a while now. But, for the past two years, I made it my mission to create a whole cookbook filled with all-natural, gluten-free, and grain-free dog treat recipes that would make even the pickiest pup’s tail wag. Plus, I also wanted to offer a resource that would help dog guardians feel more confident when baking for their pooches.
Today, I’m excited to share my first dog treat cookbook: Proud Dog-Chef: Tail Wagging Good Treat Recipes!
Take A Look Inside
Proud Dog Chef is filled with 60 gluten-free, grain-free, and dog-approved recipes. With careful attention to nutrition, this book is written for the dog parent who is ready to leave behind questionable ingredients and red flag preservatives. Because our dogs deserve it!

- Gluten-Free Biscuits
