Marriage is a big step, but these two couldn’t have been more ready.

Hope and Hunter have been a pair since the two met through work at Children’s Mercy Hospital of Kansas City two years ago. As part of CMH’s Facility Dog program, they work as therapy dogs, helping patients relax and smile as they receive pats and cuddles. Its important work, and both do a fantastic job.

Staff at the hospital wanted to give the dogs a nice, memorable ceremony, and they were married with their coworkers and young patients in attendance. They were given away by their primary handlers and sealed the deal with a kiss and a little dog-friendly wedding cake!

Dog weddings always make me cry! Congratulations to Hope and Hunter and their friends at Children’s Mercy Hospital! See the wedding photos and learn more about Hope and Hunter at Children’s Mercy Hospital!
