Mickey had been kept in a backyard 24 hours a day by his owner, freaked out during this year’s July 4 fireworks, and escaped. His owner didn’t want him back, and Mickey found himself on the euthanasia list at the Moreno Valley Shelter. He was rescued by START and spent a few months regaining confidence and learning the finer things in life like love and respect (and good food!).
Mickey went on a private transport a few weeks ago to Beloved Rescue in Washington State, and he wants to show you his happy dance of gratitude for giving him a chance. He needs a little more training but is a delighted boy as he awaits his forever home. After that, he’ll be adopted in no time.
You helped give Mickey the time he needs to write his happily ever after! When you shop the Second Chance Movement collection in the iHeartDogs store, you’re funding miles of transport from high-risk shelters to the safety of no-kill rescues for hundreds of dogs just like Mickey!
