One of the organizations that GreaterGood funds is Wings of Rescue. As a part of iHeartDog’s Second Chance Movement, Wings of Rescue flies large transports of at-risk dogs away from high-kill shelters and disaster situations. Then, they bring them to shelters and rescues with empty kennel space.

Usually, the dogs get adopted after only a few days at their new location. So far, Wings of Rescue has visited 45 states, 3 Canadian provinces, and the Bahamas. They have saved the lives of so many dogs over the years, including Alabama and Canon.

Alabama was a young puppy that was waiting at the Mobile Humane Society in Alabama, hence his name. The shelter was very crowded, so Wings of Rescue transported him to a safer location. He was brought to the NOAH Center in Stanwood, Washington, where he was adopted after only three days. He went home with a loving family who had a young kid to play with him. This lucky pup now gets to grow up in the loving environment he deserves.

Canon is a small adult dog who was stuck at the Humane Society in Northern Texas. They had more dogs than they could handle. So, Wings of Rescue was also able to transport him to the NOAH Center in Stanwood, Washington for a second chance. In only a day, a special needs man adopted Canon. He said that it was love at first sight.

If it weren’t for the generous donations from GreaterGood, it’s possible that neither of these dogs would’ve survived. But thanks to the support of many dog lovers, Alabama and Canon were rescued. Plus, they found their forever families much faster too. It wouldn’t have been possible without iHeartDogs, Greater Good, and Wings of Rescue all working together.
