Expectations. For example if you are going to a trainer because you have a dog that is afraid of children and you want him to not only live with a child, but be her best friend, you need to ask the trainer upfront if this is possible. Otherwise, you may end up disappointed and the trainer will be frustrated because they were not aware of your goals.
