20 All American Dogs Who Are SUPERSTARS At Sports

| Published on June 21, 2015

There used to be a rule that in order to compete in AKC events your dog had to be purebred. Luckily, in recent years AKC has opened its doors to what they named the “All American Dog” – any mixed breed pup can compete in performance events such as agility, rally, and obedience. Other venues also allow these All American Dogs – who shine in disc dog, dock dog, canine freestyle, herding – you name it, they can do it!

In honor of All American Pet Photo Day on July 11, we rounded up some super athletes with “mixed backgrounds” who prove you don’t have to be purebred to ROCK.
