A worried German Shepherd was seen circling around a person’s grave for days on end at a cemetery in Belgrade, Serbia. The concerned dog had dug a hole beneath the burial plot and would not budge. Locals assumed that the dutiful pooch was mourning her owner’s death, but the reality turned out to be something else entirely!

Attempting to care for her newborn pups. The graveyard hole was supposed to be a makeshift den where she could keep her four puppies warm and safe in the harsh winter. Despite her best efforts, the helpless mother dog struggled mightily to feed and raise her lovable family.

Luckily, a pet rescuer named Vesna Mihajoski came to the rescue. She rescued the emaciated and haggard pups from their “death house” and placed them in a shelter. The mama dog was overjoyed to have a decent roof over her head and a cozy bed for each of her precious babies.

 

The sweet doggie family quickly began to flourish at the shelter after receiving necessary medical care and nutritious food!

The tired and stressed mama dog is now relieved and joyful thanks to Vesna’s efforts. The pups soon revealed their fun-loving, clowning personalities. What began as a tragedy has certainly culminated into a beautiful little miracle staged by the mother dog’s unwavering love for her pups!
