A pony named Stella lived in a mud paddock for years, neglected by her elderly owners. Stella’s hooves were so overgrown that she struggled to walk. The pony hadn’t been properly cared for in a long time. Her mane hadn’t been brushed as well, and she didn’t know how to behave around people.
Thankfully, a woman named Julia intervened and agreed to take Stella in. Now that the pony was in good hands, it was time for a farrier to trim her hooves. Stella had a bit of a temper, likely due to her former circumstances. Getting her back in shape wasn’t going to be easy. Julia didn’t want to traumatize Stella with an extensive farrier session so she decided to break up her appointments. The first farrier visit took two hours!
Once Stella’s hooves were in better condition, Julia took her for a walk. At first, the pony continued to lift her legs up high to compensate for her overgrown hooves. But she soon realized she could walk normally and celebrated by running around the pasture, bringing tears to Julia’s eyes.
This video is a must-see! Stella’s transformation and first run are glorious! Scroll down to celebrate the pony’s life-changing victory.
