The One Thing This Couple Never Expected After Adopting a Pitbull
When Stephen and Jessica got married in 2021, they knew they wanted to grow their family with a dog. What they didn’t know was just how much love, laughter, and cuddles one little Pitbull would bring into their lives.
At just four weeks old, Koby and his seven littermates had been abandoned in a box outside a shelter. Because they weren’t “pure Pitbulls,” the breeder decided they weren’t worth keeping. Luckily, Ollie’s Angels, a foster-based rescue, stepped in to take the entire litter. While most of the puppies were gray and white, Koby stood out as the only tan pup.

When Stephen and Jessica met him for the first time, Koby melted into their arms as though he had found exactly where he belonged. Within an hour, they made the decision to bring him home. Though the first few nights were rough, a stuffed animal with a heartbeat helped soothe the tiny puppy. To this day, blankets and snuggles remain his greatest comforts.
Now two years old, Koby is the heart of the household. He’s known for his big, soulful eyes that clearly show his emotions. When Stephen heads home from work, Koby starts watching the window at least twenty minutes before his arrival. Once the door finally opens, dad is greeted with an avalanche of kisses, hugs, and pure excitement.

But there was one thing Stephen and Jessica say no one warned them about before adopting a Pitbull: the nonstop cuddles. “There’s one thing they don’t tell you when you get a Pitbull,” Stephen laughed. “They require extreme cuddles.”
Pitbulls are often misunderstood, but Koby is living proof of their affectionate nature. From endless snuggles to comical expressions, he’s become not only a beloved companion but also a daily source of joy for his family. His story is a reminder that sometimes the best surprises in life come in the form of four paws and a wagging tail.
