There are too many unwanted dogs who wait for forever homes, some until the day they cross over the Rainbow Bridge. It’s a heartbreaking reality, and that is why it’s so important to ADOPT and never SHOP! Thankfully, some of these sad tales end happily, and that is the case with Ava, a beautiful Pit Bull. Ava was facing a grim fate. Her heart was failing and the rescue group didn’t know what to do for her. They could only help her so much. What she really needed was a home with a good person who would take care of her. Thankfully, someone was about to step in and change her life.
A compassionate woman saw Ava’s photo on social media and couldn’t imagine what she must have felt. Dogs are sensitive creatures and the woman was confident that Ava was suffering without the love and care she deserves. She couldn’t leave the Pittie in such a heartbreaking situation and decided to try to meet Ava in person and see what she could do.
Ava’s backstory was similar to many. She was found as a stray with a mysterious history. No one knew for sure if Ava was abandoned by her family or if she was born on the streets. After she was picked up, a rescue group stepped in to help. They tried to have a stent put in to improve her heart condition. However, the veterinarian explained that the stent was only a temporary fix. Ava needed a foster home to live out her remaining days.
Shockingly, this is not the first time she has faced animal cruelty charges; she has a past conviction for similar crimes. We must ensure that no more animals suffer or die in her care!
The woman and Ava met, and it was instant– the woman knew that Ava was meant to be a part of her family. She already had a few foster animals and one permanent doggo. She hoped that Ava would enjoy her new home and, boy, did she ever! The pup fit right in and once her foster mom saw how happy she was, Ava became a foster fail.
The Pit Bull with the ‘broken heart’ found a place to call home. She is thriving and loving life. She especially loves to play and watch over her mom’s foster dogs and puppies. It’s so adorable!
