Imagine what it must be like for homeless animals struggling to survive… it is unthinkable! The heartbreaking conditions they endure are tragic. But thanks to wonderful people who go out of their way to help dogs in need, they stand a fighting chance and hope for a better life. In this story, we meet a tiny puppy who was reportedly wandering the streets. She had no way of surviving on her own. The streets are unforgiving, lacking clean water and adequate food. To top it off, these creatures, like the puppy in the story, are susceptible to ticks, fleas, and eminent starvation.
A man with Paw Squadron quickly responded to an urgent call. In this specific area, strays are abundant. And while rescue groups wish they could save them all, it’s impossible to do so. Paw Squadron sets out food and water for as many dogs as they can. But a puppy living on its own is life-threatening, as she was unable to fend for herself. The man knew without his assistance, she would die alone.
He drove around, unable to locate the little one. But he didn’t give up! As he rounded a corner, he caught a glimpse of the tiny brown pup soaked from the rain. He pulled his car over and got out. The puppy was so relieved to see him! She was surely overwhelmed when he first picked her up but then realized he was one of the good ones!
The rescuer carried her to his vehicle and dried her off. He put out some food, but she wasn’t comfortable enough to eat. The poor baby was covered in ticks, fattened from feasting on her little body. The man didn’t hesitate. He brought her home, gave her a bath, and treated her for parasites. Soon, the puppy was fed, warm, and resting comfortably in her new bed.
