Caring Dog Brings His Injured Friend Some Food While Waiting For Rescuers To Arrive

Dogs are man’s best friend, but dogs can be best friends to other dogs as well. And dogs are ever faithful and loyal to their best friends.

The stray dog in the photos below showed his loyalty and faithfulness to his injured friend by bringing him some while waiting for rescuers to arrive.

The SPCA in South Africa were alerted about two dogs who are staying near the railways after being hit by a train. When Inspector Lucas Moloi went to help the dogs, he thought both the dogs were hurt, but he discovered that only one was injured.

He realized that one dog was just keeping the other company. And this loyal dog, now named Hero, did more than just keeping the other company.

According to the security officers, they saw Hero looking for food and bringing his injured friend some food. And when the inspector was carrying is friend to safety, Hero stayed close by, still keeping watch.

Sadly, the injured dog had a severe spinal injury and had to be humanely euthanized because she was suffering.

However, Hero was put up for adoption. And according to SPCA Durban, Hero is incredibly loving and desperate for affection. He loves belly rubs, and although he’s a little shy, he still likes making new friends.

After people learned about Hero’s story, there were a lot of offers to adopt Hero. And thankfully, he has found a loving, forever home.

Dogs are indeed incredibly loyal. It’s such a shame that some people aren’t loyal and loving to their dogs. But we all know, that our dogs are most deserving of our loyalty and unconditional love.
