When Kerri Hatcher Fickling, a passionate dog rescuer and foster mom from Macon, Georgia noticed a problem in her city, she did something amazing about it.
In early December, Kerri made a post on her Facebook page offering pay for the spaying of all female dogs in her town. Not just that, but she offered to personally pick up the dogs and drive them to and from the vet clinic!
Kerri said that recent reports of abandoned stray puppies and pregnant dogs across her town had prompted this drastic, but generous offer.
According to the Macon Telegraph, Kerri owns a real-estate business which provides her the savings to pay for such a generous gift.
Since she made the offer, Kerri has been absolutely inundated with calls, emails, and Facebook messages. Despite the overwhelming response, Kerri is dedicated to making good on her promise, and has even set a goal of spaying 2,000 dogs in total! Even at the reduced rate of $55 which her clinic offers her, this would cost her a total of $110,000!
