It’s never easy losing a loving canine companion. And it’s heartbreaking to celebrate the holidays without them.
The Barger family lost their beloved dog recently. And the kids found it really hard to say goodbye to their dog.
But a surprise came to them before the holidays. Santa sent them a letter saying his condolences to the family. And then he said that he has an early Christmas gift for them, and all they have to do is to go to the address he wrote on the letter and follow the red dots.

So the family went to the address that Santa wrote. And there they found red dots on the floor.

The red dots led them to a door. The kids were so excited to find out what surprise awaits them behind the door.

Santa gave them a special rescue dog for the family to love. Her name is Athena.

The family was so happy, and so is Athena! The Bargers have a new family member, and Athena gets her loving, forever home!

What a wonderful Christmas gift! And the Barger family gave Athena the best Christmas gift when they adopted her!
Great job, Santa! You made this family and this dog very happy!
