The Dancing on Ice judge Ashley Banjo has shared his love for his animals throughout the years. He was especially close to his tiny Chihuahua named KP, making her loss an absolute tragedy for their family.
Sweet KP passed away at the age of 11 in her beloved family’s arms. Ashley’s post states that KP fell ill and passed away all within one day, making this loss a sudden and heart-wrenching event.
“This one hurts a lot…I can never replace you sweetie and it breaks my heart to lose you so suddenly. The same day she fell ill is the same day we lost her. Go and tell the close ones you love them while you still can. Life is too short and you never know where it takes you. R.I.P sweetheart ” – Ashley Banjo
KP was Ashley and Francesca Banjo’s first baby girl together. The two shared photos reminiscing on the memories they’ve made throughout the years, proving just how important KP was to their family.
Even after welcoming two beautiful children into their family, KP was always deeply loved at every given chance. Both Ashley and Francesca Banjo mention how much her loss will impact their lives, as each person in their home had a special bond with the tiny pup.
The couple shares memories of KP cuddling up with the family, sitting at the kitchen table, basking in the warm sun, and offering plenty of wet kisses to her favorite people. It’s clear that KP was a unique pup with an adorable personality!
Not only is this loss hard enough, but the Banjo family endured the loss of another treasured pup not too long ago. Their Great Dane named Oscar crossed the rainbow bridge in 2019, leaving a hole in the family’s heart that could never be filled.
KP and Oscar shared a special bond in their time together within the Banjo family home. Francesca has shared photos of the two doing everything from roughhousing to cuddling, proving just how much the two loved each other. While nothing can mend their broken hearts in this time, it is comforting for the family to imagine the pair together again.
