Building Burns Down With No Assumed Survivors Until This Dog Was Found Alive 8 Days Later

| April 21, 2015

This is truly a miracle story. A dog, Zeus, was found to be missing after a fire blazed through an apartment building at 102 Jay Street in Schenectady, New York.

Eight days later, the firefighters saw a face peeking out the fourth-floor windows.

”We were able to get up there and lure him out with a little bit of pizza of all things,” explained Schenectady Fire Chief Raymond Senecal told local news.

Zeus appeared very happy to see his rescuers and was definitely hungry, but otherwise appeared unharmed.

He was even happier, however, when his foster mom, Stacey Lydon showed up.

This is the second time in his life where Zeus has had luck on his side – the first was when Lydon found him tied to a garage door and rescued him.

Lydon told local news that she does’t live in the building that burned down. Zeus was, in fact, with a co-worker of hers who was interested in adopting him when the tragedy happened.

“He was here probably there four days when that fire broke out,” said Lydon.

Clearly, this is one lucky dog.
