The boy explained that the other puppies bullied Pumpkin, and it was clear to the rescuers that he wouldn’t survive if left in those conditions. They knew he needed immediate care and attention.
The rescuers brought Pumpkin to safety, where he received the love and care he desperately needed. At first, he was so weak that he spent most of his time sleeping and trembling in fear. His little body was frail, and his health was uncertain. But with a lot of tender loving care, things began to change.
After about a week, Pumpkin slowly started showing signs of improvement. He no longer slept as much, and the trembling lessened. Whenever he was held, he made a soft chirping noise, almost like a little bird, which touched the hearts of everyone around him.
