Dogs around the world are absolutely giddy to the fact that quarantine orders are causing their favorite humans to spend most of their time at home. While we’re all loving the current state of happiness our dogs are in, one pup may have hit his limit with tail wags due to the excitement.

An adorable dachshund named Rolo is overflowing with happiness at the opportunity to spend each hour of the day with his fur mom. While this constant companionship was causing him to be in a permanent state of tail wagging, his fur mom Emma noticed that something was a bit off.

One morning she noticed that her dog’s tail that is normally standing upright had begun to sag. Even when Rolo would wag his tail, it’s as if he couldn’t lift it properly and was experiencing some discomfort. Emma knew it was time to visit her local vet, and she couldn’t believe the diagnosis that Rolo would receive.

“So my dog has been so happy that everyone is home for quarantine, that his tail has stopped working. So we went to the vet and the vet said ‘he had sprained his tail from excessively wagging it.’ ” – Emma’s Twitter Post

Once Emma shared the news of Rolo’s sprained tail on her Twitter, dog lovers around the world sent their love and support for a quick recovery from this adorable injury. Her tweet was shared over 140,000 times, and even reached the stars of The Morning Show.

Rolo’s vet offered a promising prognosis and sent the duo home with some pain medication to keep Rolo comfortable. He’s expected to be back to his usual tail wagging within a week and should have no lasting effects from this bizarre experience.

“For those asking, he is currently on pain relief and the vet said he should be healed within a week. He is super happy and there is now movement from side to side but he is struggling to lift it up in the air.” – Emma’s Twitter post

Since Emma shared Rolo’s story, he has gained quite the following of adoring fans that want to keep up with his journey to recovery! Emma has since created an Instagram account for her furry BFF, and urges you to follow his journey to getting his wag back!
