In an affluent town where pets should be pampered, a dark secret hid under a porch bench in the bitter cold. An innocent Collie had been left outside during a blizzard to fend for herself. As the temperatures dropped, her body weakened. Hypothermia began to set in, and she drifted to sleep while curled up in a ball, fighting to stay alive. It is rumored that residents knew the dog was there and did nothing to help her as if their affluence meant they were forced to mind their own business.
Thankfully, one resident couldn’t bear the thought of the dog’s suffering and made a call to a local veterinarian named Andrew. He raced over and saw the pup, Darina, in a deplorable state. He wasn’t sure if he was too late. He ran over to check her vitals. She was still alive, but her pulse was weak. Andrew picked Darina up and carried her to his car. He drove as fast as he could to the animal clinic.
Once they arrived, staff swaddled her with warming blankets and pumped warm saline through an IV. Amazingly, Darina pulled through. Her quick transformation was nothing short of a miracle. The Collie perked up and smiled, knowing Andrew was her savior. Andrew and the pup now shared a special bond that transcended words. He decided to adopt her and the loyal pup showered him with grateful hugs and kisses. Thank you, Andrew, for saving Darina’s life. As for the residents who saw Darina suffering and did nothing, shame on you!
