Oftentimes, life-changing moments can lead us to new and exciting things. In this instance, a man who wanted to foster a dog and hadn’t had the chance to make the leap yet decided life was too short to put off his hopes and dreams. A surfer named Ben was catching some waves when he had a gnarly accident. He broke his collarbone and needed emergency surgery. While lying in his hospital bed, he told his wife, Jordan, that this was the time to give back to the world after his life was spared.

Jordan agreed, and they contacted a local rescue group. The couple was paired up with a little black dog named Dennis. They picked him up and welcomed him into their home. At first, Dennis was nervous, unsure of who these people were and what their intentions were. But as soon as he arrived at their house and was unleashed into the yard, he knew he had won the lottery! He celebrated his new foster home and parents with a round of the Zoomies.

Dennis christened his new home by having some potty accidents, but the couple didn’t mind. Ben was happy to have Dennis despite the challenges. The couple, who affectionately nicknamed the dog Denny, had a bit of a scare when the dog began to reverse sneeze. He was rushed to the vet. Thankfully, Denny was cleared and sent home.

As the couple drove back, Ben asked his wife, “So, does the foster continue or does Denny get…” And before he could even finish the sentence, Jordan chimed in. What do you think Jordan says next? To find out what follows in this feel-good story, check it out by clicking ‘play’ below.
