Maple the Border Collie has always been an energetic pup. She loves swimming, going for car rides, and of course, playing in the snow! She goes on so many adventures with her mom, Jessica Dylan Mann, and she always has a blast. One day, Mann discovered a unique item that could enhance all of Maple’s exciting adventures. That simple item was Maple’s very own dog snow goggles!
While most dogs would probably steer clear of having to wear something on their face, Maple embraced her new accessory more than Mann had even expected. She knew Maple loved to run around and explore with her eyes wide open. So, she thought the goggles would just be a cute and easy way to protect her vision.
“I wanted to buy goggles because she swims completely underwater with her eyes open and is always hanging out the [car] window, so on Black Friday they went on sale so I bought some,” explained Mann.
At the time, little did Mann know, those goggles would change Maple’s life for the better.
Once Mann put the goggles on Maple, the dog got extremely excited. She had no problem wearing them whenever her eyes needed a little extra protection. However, Maple soon learned that these goggles could help her in more ways that just swimming and sticking her head out the car window.
A New Way to Play in the Snow!
During a snowstorm, Mann decided to put Maple’s goggles on before letting her outside. The energetic dog had always loved playing in the snow, but once she learned that she could see underneath the snow with her new goggles, she couldn’t contain her excitement.
Maple immediately began tunneling around in the snow like a gopher. She would pop up only for a few seconds before returning to her new exciting play routine. Every time her head popped up, a look of joy spread across her face. Luckily, Mann was able to get an adorable video of Maple’s first time playing in the snow with goggles on.
Now, Maple gets ecstatic every time Mann brings out the snow goggles. This smart dog understands that these goggles can make any activity a thousand times more fun, so she loves her new look.
“When I say ‘Ready for goggles!?’ she comes running and sits patiently for me to put them on,” Mann said.
Goggles and other clothing items might not be exciting for most dogs, but Maple knows something that they don’t. She knows how exciting it is to be able to see in the snow. So, regardless of what she needs them for, Maple will always willingly put on her goggles and prepare for the adventure of a lifetime.
