Long-lost siblings reuniting around the world are sure to warm your heart, but imagine the sight of two fur-siblings coming together after a trip around the world. Well, this incredible reunion actually happened with two golden retrievers that happened to cross paths in Seattle Park.
Pam Corwin witnessed this incredible moment first-hand when she went for her usually stroll through Seattle Park. Pam heard commotion coming from two dogs across the away, and initially came over to their area out of concern for their safety. Though she was initially worried for the two pups, it soon became clear that the commotion was the result of a joyous reunion.
Pam watched the two Golden Retrievers playing gleefully as if they had known each other their whole lives. Though they seemed like the very best of friends, they had actually never met before – or so the fur parents thought.
As the dogs continued to play, the owners began to discuss their fur babies’ pasts. After an in-depth discussion about each of their adoptions, they soon began to put the pieces together. Each pup had been adopted from the same place, and at the same time! They even had matching tattoos from their spay scars.
As it turned out, both dogs were originally born in Russia and brought to the US through a local rescue. The siblings were then adopted by the two different families, and had been separated up until that moment.
The two pups continued to make up for lost time by rolling around and rough housing like fur siblings do. The owners of course exchanged contact information and promised to arrange regular play dates going forward.
Pam managed to capture this adorable reunion on camera, and soon had a viral video on her hands. Dog lovers around the world were moved by the fact that these pups remembered each other after so much time apart and were blown away by their chance reunion.

I witnessed the coolest thing today!
I was at my booth at Pike Place Market and two couples (who didn’t know each other) were walking towards each other with identical dogs. Suddenly, the dogs ran towards each other and went totally crazy. I went over to watch because it was so adorable, and as I stood there soaking up the love, the couples figured out that the dogs are siblings and came over on the same plane to be adopted from Russia a year ago! The dogs recognized each other!
They even had identifying tattoos that confirmed it. This joyful reunion went on for over a half an hour, in fact they were still at it when I left the market.(I heard the couples exchanging phone numbers, so now they can have play dates, which made me very happy)” – Pam Corwin
