Dogs are pack animals and thrive when they are together. Many dog parents are owned by more than one dog, while other single-dog moms and dads make it a point to socialize their pups with neighboring canines or dogs at the park. These interactions can be crucial to a dog’s development and well-being. In this adorable video, we see just how important these friendships can be. Two neighboring canines, a Labrador and a German Shepherd, care an awful lot about one another, but their moms couldn’t imagine how deep their love had grown.

The Lab is head over paws for the Shepherd. When she goes in the backyard to frolic or do her business, she makes it a point to lie on the ground, stick her face beneath the fence, and check to see if her BFF is around. Her little facial expressions couldn’t be sweeter. You can see how much she wants to be reunited with her best bud in her soulful eyes.

Once the Shepherd is let outside, he goes over to the Lab and tries to comfort her, assuring her that they’ll be back together again. But the separation is driving her crazy! She resents the fence and wants nothing more than to be close to her doggy soulmate. Her mom’s heart breaks and she comes up with a plan.

She calls up the Shepherd’s mom, and together, they come up with a swoon-worthy solution to make both of their doggies happy. The result is PAW-FECT! We love this little video and you will too! Play the video to see the story unfold and what both moms create for their pups. Does your dog have a best friend? If so, we’d love to hear all about the duo in our comment section 🙂
