In Fort Wayne, a small puppy with a big heart is teaching everyone about courage and kindness. This is his story of starting from a tough spot and finding hope.

A Sad Start

The puppy’s journey began sadly when he was found alone in a portable toilet by a city worker. He was very skinny, with his bones showing, and his paws were stained from not being able to walk around much. He was scared and needed a lot of care.

Luckily, he was quickly taken to the Fort Wayne Animal Care and Control, where kind people began to take care of him. They fed him, cleaned him up, and gave him the medical attention he needed. The shelter called him a “Wiggly Angel” because even after all he had been through, he was still sweet and loved to cuddle in the laps of his rescuers once he calmed down.

To help him get better, the puppy was placed in a foster home. There, he began to gain weight and learned that not all humans are bad. He also got to play with other foster dogs, which helped him learn how to be a happy puppy.

The shelter keeps everyone updated on the puppy’s progress through their Facebook page. They also talk about the Angel Fund, which helps pay for the medical care of animals like this little puppy. The shelter invited people to help name him by leaving suggestions in the comments of a Facebook post.

This little puppy’s story reminds us of the difference kindness can make. He started life in a tough situation, but with help from caring people, he is learning to trust and love again.
