Maty had a rough start in life. At only 3 weeks old, she was abandoned in a motel by her owners. After being rescued, she was about to be adopted when she was struck with a severe infection in one of her rear legs.
The infection was so bad, that she was nearly put down. Fortunately, surgeons we’re able to successfully amputate one of her legs instead. After a brief recovery, this strong little pup never slowed down!
At nine months of age, Maty began running after a frisbee simply as a way to stay fit. But it was clear that she had a instinctive ability with them, and she subsequently began entering competitions. She hasn’t looked back and after two previously successful outings in the well known Skyhoundz event, has finally tasted glory and become a champion!
