Every dog deserves a loving home. In a perfect world, every dog has a home, and every home has a dog. Sadly, not all dogs are lucky to have a loving home. And not all homes deserve the love of a dog.
However there’s little consolation in knowing that in the few years, weeks, or days left in a dog’s life, he was able to experience what it is to be loved and cared for.
That is exactly what happened with this dog named Foster. Foster was rescued from a horrific hoarding case. He was weak and unable to walk. In addition to that, he also had a serious case of pneumonia. He was more than 12 years old, and the rescuers were not sure if he could survive. But miraculously, Foster recovered. He may be old but his eyes were sparkling. And Foster was lucky to have a foster mom, Teri Rice, who provided him with a home and the love that he longed for. And during his stay with her, his face was so cheerful, he had a smile on his face. He was able to run, play, and enjoy life. Foster was happy.

And then one day, Foster took a nap, and he didn’t wake up. His stay with his foster mom may have been brief, but it was the happiest days of his life. He lived the last days of his life being loved and cared for.
Our hearts go out to Foster, and to all the other dogs out there who are still in need of a loving home.
