Surviving Quadruple Amputee Dog Gets Prosthetic Legs And Can Walk Again

| Published on April 1, 2015

A quadruple amputee dog from Loveland Colorado had become the second dog ever to get prosthetic limbs!

Meet Brutus the Rottweiler. Brutus ended up disabled because he got frostbite on all his four paws. Then his breeder amputated the damage, maiming him in the process. Luckily, Brutus was rescued and is now living with her foster mom, Laura Aquilana.

Laura takes Brutus walking around the block. Walking outside may not be a challenge for other dogs, but Brutus is still adjusting to his new legs. So Laura does her best to help Brutus and ease him into a life with artificial limbs. Watch the video below and see Brutus walk with his prosthetic legs!

Just keep going Brutus! You’re doing a great job!

Brutus should be an inspiration to other animals who have disabilities. Animals with disabilities, just like Brutus, are not un-adoptable; they just need our help.

A big thank you to the people who helped Brutus! You guys are amazing!
