The true heroes in this world are those who have sacrificed a lot in the service of others. Most of them put their lives on the line in the service of other people and their country. And some of these heroes have fur and walk in fours.
February of 2013, Delta Airlines held a small ceremony in honor of two fallen heroes. A soldier and his faithful K9 companion were killed by an Improvised Explosive Device (IED). So as tribute, Delta’s baggage handlers honored the soldier and his loyal dog by unloading their caskets off the plane with a proper ceremony. Flags were held, and men gave their final salute to the brave heroes who died doing their job.
We might now know of their identities, but our prayers, and our condolences go out to the families of these heroes. We deeply thank and we admire these bold heroes for the sacrifice they made in service of their country.
