This Service Dog Was Given His Very Own Picture In The School Yearbook!

| Published on May 6, 2016

Staff at Good Hope Middle School in West Monroe, Louisiana decided that one student’s service dog was such an integral part of the school, her picture should be included in the yearbook!

Service dog Presley has been with her human, 14-year-old Joseph “Seph” Ware, for four years. He has Duchenne muscular dystrophy, and Presley lends a helping “paw” with daily tasks. “The genetic condition causes progressive muscle weakness and muscle wasting, with most patients confined to wheelchairs by the time they are teens,” reports a story by AL.com.

While Presley is a good girl, she had a bit of a hard time posing for his picture (as most dogs would)!

“Seph says that it took about 10 minutes to get Presley to look at the camera – and who knows how many shots,” said mom Lori Ware in the story.

What a great way to involve Presley in the school! Read more about this Goldendoodle and her human on TODAY.
