You Helped Find a Place For This Pup When No One Wanted Her – Now She’s Loved!

Part of each sale through the iHeartDogs store is donated to Greater Good, which helps support various charities. Thanks to customers like you, happy endings, like the one below, are made possible.

A grant from GreaterGood.org funded by the iHeartDogs.com community helped Animal Lifeline transport homeless animals from high-kill shelters to communities where they were quickly adopted. Animals like Lucy and Ben.

“A few months ago, we received a request for help from a shelter in Tunica, MS. They had many more intakes than they had space and needed assistance with both transport and placement. On the transport were two very shy and timid lab mixes that were found running along a major highway. When the owners were found, they wanted the dogs off of their property and had been leaving these pups without concern for safety or medical. The picture that I am providing is of Lucy being afraid to take food. Her brother Ben was just as timid.

“Lucy had some demodex mange that was being treated and was very afraid of any human touch. We were having some difficulty placing these two with placement partners, but one of our best volunteers offered to foster these pups and work with them until they could be adopted. Once here, they received further medical care, and within days of catching a lifesaving Ride to Rescue and finding comfort in a loving home, they completely came out of their shell.
Animal Lifeline, in this case, not only provided the lifesaving transport but also was able to find both of them the perfect home.

“Lucy and Ben are now a cherished part of their families. The second picture that I have provided was one of the many updates that I receive on Lucy. This was from this past weekend. They came to visit us!”

Lucy and Ben are only two of the dogs that were on that transport – you gave the gift of safety to several other dogs, too! When you purchase any items from the Second Chance Movement collection in the iHeartDogs store, you fund miles transport from high-risk shelters to the safety of a no-kill facility!
